SBC Woman's Missionary Union

“As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard” Acts 4:20

We invite every woman, girl and boy to be involved in “The Woman’s Missionary Union” at Stedman Baptist Church.  The WMU consists of ages preschool through adults.  Our task is to pray for missions, give to missions, learn about missions, support missions, doing missions, develop spirituality toward a missions lifestyle, participate in the work of the church and denomination as we proclaim the Great Commission.

Stedman Baptist is excited to announce their new YOUTH PROGRAM, CrossFire

The youth program consist of middle and high school students whose mission is, “We the youth of Stedman Baptist Church will strive to come together as a body of Christ: worshipping, witnessing, and praising God.  We will try to be a positive role model by living lives according to God’s command.”

Recreation

At Stedman Baptist Church we are offering a new Recreation Ministry.  This ministry provides a safe nurturing environment for which church members can build bridges with our community through recreation for the purpose of helping people build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Children

At Stedman Baptist Church we offer Sunday school classes for all ages.  During the morning worship service we have JAM (Jesus and Me) for ages 3-kindergarten and JUMP (Jesus Use Me Please) for grades 1-5.  We use the Gospel Project curriculum to teach our children about Jesus and his love for us.  On Wednesday nights from 6:45-7:45 we have missions based classes.  Ages 3-kindergarten goes to Mission Friends.  In Mission Friends we learn about missionaries around the world and how we can be missionaries here at home. Children in grades 1-5 go either to Girls in Action or Royal Ambassadors.  These two classes also focus on Missions and Mission Projects.  There is a place for all kids in our programs.  Please come visit and grow with us!

Music

The Praise Team and Choir are a wonderful part of our worship service every Sunday.  Both the praise team and choir are made up of singers and musicians from within the church.  Church musicians come together to present inspirational music for worship services, cantatas, and other special programs.  If you are an instrumental musician or singer and would like to get involved in the music ministry, then our praise team and choir is the perfect place for you to get plugged in.  Contact us for more info.

FAITH Team

We have several teams that have completed training for the Faith Visitation Program.  The Faith Training Program is on-going and a comprehensive evangelism ministry designed to reach the unchurched person.  It is one of our most effective outreach strategies.   Training sessions are usually held on Monday nights.  Faith teams are made up of three members that go into the community making home visits.  The program uses a very simple easily learned gospel presentation that is effective with youth and adults alike.  FAITH: Forsaking All I Trust Him.

Missions

Our goal is to actively reach, train, and send people out into the world to bring people closer to Jesus.
